Hosting and delivery of this website
This website runs on a virtual server provided by netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Straße 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany. netcup supplies the server infrastructure and, as our hosting provider, is a potential recipient of the data processed in operating the site. For further information, see netcup's privacy notice.
When you visit the site, the server processes your IP address, requested file, date and time and technical HTTP headers to deliver the content and protect the service. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. Transmission is encrypted using HTTPS.
Logs and retention
We do not keep general access logs or visitor statistics for this website. Technical error logs may contain the IP address, time, requested resource and error message. These logs are used solely for troubleshooting and security and are normally deleted through daily rotation within eight days. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where specific entries are necessary to investigate a security incident or assert legal claims, they may be retained separately for that purpose until it has been concluded.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies or use analytics or advertising services. It does not use Local Storage or Session Storage to save user preferences or recognise returning visitors. The glue finder operates only within the open page. Your browser may cache website files to speed up loading. See our cookie information for more details.
Fonts and other content
Fonts, images and scripts are delivered by our own web server. Displaying the fonts does not establish a connection to Google or any other external font provider.
Links to Amazon
The purchase buttons lead to amazon.de. We do not embed Amazon scripts or tracking pixels. Your browser connects to Amazon when you open a link. Amazon's privacy notice then applies. Our website does not send referrer information when you follow a link. Orders are handled through Amazon.
Contact form and email inquiries
Our contact form requires your email address and message; your name is optional. The checkbox is not preselected. By selecting it, you consent to us processing and storing these details to handle your inquiry and reply by email (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The consent wording, version and time are documented with your inquiry. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing hekto.systems@gmail.com; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Alternatively, you can contact us directly by email.
For direct email inquiries, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the inquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract with you; otherwise it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our interest in handling inquiries. We delete inquiries and their consent records after they have been resolved, unless statutory retention obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims require further retention. Contacting us is voluntary; we cannot handle an inquiry without an address for our reply and the content of your inquiry.
Form messages are forwarded by our own mail server to our Gmail inbox. They may be held in the access-restricted outgoing queue until delivery, for no more than one day. Transmission to Gmail is encrypted. To prevent abuse, we process the IP address and keep a pseudonymised identifier derived from it in memory for no more than ten minutes to limit submission frequency. The legal basis for these safeguards is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our interest in a secure contact channel. The IP address is not included in the form message. Technical delivery logs contain status, time, queue identifier and the fixed server email addresses, but not the message text or reply address entered in the form.
We currently use a Gmail mailbox. For users in the European Economic Area, the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google processes email content and contact details; processing in the USA and other countries outside the EEA is possible. Google identifies the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as the basis for transfers to Google LLC in the USA and describes safeguards for other transfers in its privacy notices.
